- Asymmetry
- Underdevelopment or post-traumatic shape disorders
Before the surgery:
A consultation with a plastic surgeon is necessary, during which the specialist answers all the patient's questions and discusses the details of the procedure (selection of the type and size of the implant/implants). Tests for local anaesthesia must be performed. In addition, blood-thinning medications (e.g. aspirin) must not be taken for at least 10 days before the procedure.

Approx. 1 hour.
Course of the surgery:
An incision is made in the popliteal fossa. A pocket is created and the previously selected implant is inserted. Bleeding control is performed, layered sutures and a compression dressing are applied.
Postoperative recommendations:
Elevation of the lower limbs for several days after the procedure is recommended until swelling subsides. Slow mobilisation. Use of scar ointments.
Recovery time:
7–10 days.
