Botulinum toxin – indications:
Excessive wrinkles associated with facial expressions
- horizontal and vertical forehead wrinkles,
- crow's feet,
- vertical lip wrinkles,
- horizontal wrinkles on the nosee.
Before the Botox procedure:
A consultation is required, during which the specialist will answer all of the patient's questions. Additionally, blood-thinning medications (e.g. aspirin) must not be taken for at least 10 days before the procedure.
Type of anesthesia
No anesthesia required; optionally, a topical anesthetic ointment may be applied.
Duration of the botulinum toxin procedure:
Depending on the number of areas treated: 20 to 40 minutes.
Course of the procedure:
After skin disinfection, botulinum toxin is injected into the appropriate areas.

Post-procedure recommendations
Massage of the injected areas and bending the head forward are prohibited for several hours after the procedure. Minor bruising may occur at the needle puncture sites.
Recovery time
Results are visible after 2 to 7 days and last 4 to 6 months.
INTERESTING FACT: Botulinum toxin can also be used to prevent excessive sweating of the armpits and other body parts, and is also one of the methods for treating bruxism. Botulinum toxin injections are also used for recurrent migraines.
