Laser technology — why is it worth it?
The use of laser technology, including different wavelengths acting selectively on adipose and skin tissue, distinguishes laser liposuction from other liposuction methods. Body contouring with this method allows for an even and predictable result.
The lower invasiveness of this type of liposuction also allows for faster recovery. Additional advantages include significantly fewer visible bruises, less bleeding, less swelling and less post-procedure pain. In addition to the benefits of body contouring, laser liposuction also firms the skin. This is undoubtedly the ideal solution for those who want to sculpt their body quickly and perfectly.
Dr Witwicki on his laser liposuction method:
Laser liposuction is also an ideal way to correct visible and palpable distortions of the body contour resulting from other liposuction methods.
Advantages:
- Firmer skin — thanks to laser lipolysis,
- Smoother skin — less distortion of body contours, improved skin tone,
- Faster healing — fewer bruises and less swelling,
- Shorter recovery time — quick return to daily activities,
- Greater accessibility — the procedure can be performed on patients who do not qualify for traditional liposuction,
- Time-saving — the method is significantly faster than other liposuction procedures,
- Availability — the procedure can be performed anywhere on the body where sagging skin has appeared (e.g. neck, chin, abdomen, back, buttocks, and other areas with excess adipose tissue).
Indications:
- excess adipose tissue,
- lax, sagging skin.
Before the surgery:
A series of tests must be performed, as ordered during the consultation with a specialist.
Type of anesthesia:
Local or intravenous
Duration of the surgery:
Depending on the area treated, a maximum of 1 hour.
Course of the surgery:
After anaesthesia, the doctor makes an incision of approx. 2 mm through which a probe is inserted, directing a beam of waves at the adipose tissue. The 924 nm laser beam evenly heats and then dissolves the fat, which is gently removed by suction. At the same time, a 975 nm laser wave acts directly on the skin tissue, contracting collagen fibres.
Postoperative recommendations:
After the procedure, a special compression garment is applied to the treated area to improve the result and speed up recovery. Endermologie treatments are also recommended.
After a liposuction procedure, we advise patients to be collected from the clinic by a friend or to take a taxi, as we discourage driving for at least 24 hours. Nevertheless, the patient can carry out basic activities without difficulty on the same day. Post-procedure pain is comparable to bruising from a fall while skiing. Gentle activity — a short walk — is recommended from the early post-procedure period. Return to (desk) work is usually possible after a few days (2–3) following liposuction. In addition to pain and bruising, itching of the treated areas can also be expected after the procedure — this is a standard sensation during the healing process. To minimise these discomforts, we recommend special cosmeceuticals to our patients that reduce swelling, itching and redness.
Recovery time:
Immediate or 1 to 3 days. Early results of laser liposuction are visible right away. The final result appears after several months.

Nutritional recommendations for patients after liposuction procedures:
The procedure allows removal of accumulated adipose tissue; however, to ensure a long-lasting result, an appropriate diet is advisable. Introducing healthy lifestyle habits and physical activity ideally begins even before the procedure. Meals should be eaten regularly, without extra snacking between set times. The last meal should be consumed 3–4 hours before sleep. Drinking 1.5 to 2 litres of water daily is recommended to ensure adequate fluid intake. In your daily diet, pay attention not only to the quantity but also the quality of the foods consumed.
