Resurfacing (FRAX 1550 laser) – skin densification

Resurfacing is a procedure that, thanks to the action of a laser, allows for the safe removal of the superficial layer of the skin, i.e. the epidermis. The goal of the treatment is skin rejuvenation and removal of the “damaged” layer. Resurfacing involves creating numerous micro-injuries using a dedicated laser head, which stimulate the skin to undergo intensive regeneration. Indications include visible wrinkles and loss of skin firmness. Resurfacing is also suitable for people with a dull complexion and enlarged pores. It works excellently for reducing stretch marks, post-acne scars and others. The result of resurfacing is a visibly rejuvenated skin, free of discolorations, with smoothed wrinkles and significantly greater density and firmness.

How long does the procedure take and is it painful?

The duration of the procedure depends on the size of the area being treated. An anaesthetic ointment is used, so if any pain occurs, it is not severe. The final effect of the treatment is visible after a few weeks.

What are the post-procedure recommendations?

Significant redness occurs for several days. Swelling may also persist. The use of dedicated post-procedure ointments is recommended, which reduce recovery time and visible post-procedure marks to the minimum necessary for the skin. Sun exposure is prohibited – high SPF protection must be used for several weeks after the procedure.
